We're a small, early team. That means what you build here will be visible, used, and iterated on immediately. You'll work directly with founders and finance teams not filtered through layers of management. The things you standardise will become the foundation of how the firm operates at 10x scale.

What you'll actually do

Your primary job is to own delivery and then systematically reduce the manual effort required to do it well. You'll start by running the work (GST, income tax, TDS, bookkeeping, MIS) end-to-end for a set of clients. Then you'll build the systems that make that work faster, more consistent, and AI-assisted.

Own end-to-end compliance and reporting across GST, income tax, TDS, and bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients
Review outputs and set quality standards that the whole team can work to
Manage a small delivery team — accountability, timelines, and output quality
Build playbooks for every recurring workflow so that execution becomes systematic, not heroic
Work directly with founders and client CFOs to understand their real problems, not just their stated requests
Feed insight from client work back into how we build our product and service model

What we're looking for

Non-negotiable

Qualified CA with 2–3 years post qualification experience
Strong in GST, income tax, TDS, MIS
Deep working knowledge of Tally
Experience reviewing work and managing delivery
Genuine curiosity about AI in finance

Good to have

Experienced working for any VC backed startup
Hands-on use of Claude, ChatGPT, or similar
Familiarity with Zoho or QuickBooks
Financial modelling experience
Any process documentation or SOP work

Where this goes

We're explicit about career paths because we think you deserve to know what you're signing up for. This is what we see for the right person:

Accounting Engineer (now)

Own delivery, build playbooks, introduce AI into workflows. Learn the business from the inside out.

Senior Accounting Engineer / Delivery Lead (year 1–2)

Lead a team of 4–6. Own the full client portfolio. Drive the standardisation agenda across the firm.

Head of Delivery (year 2–3)

Shape how the firm operates at scale. Options include building toward a product role, a specialist practice lead, or a leadership track.

Compensation

₹9 – 12 LPA

Fixed, based on experience. Plus ESOP — see below.

ESOP

We offer meaningful early-stage equity. We'll walk through the details like vesting schedule, current cap table context in the first conversation. We don't lead with numbers that don't mean anything without context.

Location

Gurugram, with hybrid flexibility. We believe in working together in person, especially early on — but we're not rigid about it.

Stage

Early-stage startup. We're being honest: this comes with upside and uncertainty in equal measure. If you want stability, this isn't it. If you want to build something, it is.

Review cycle

Compensation reviewed at 6 months, then annually. We expect to move fast with the people who move fast with us.
